Taking a quick pull from the moms. When calling someone to complete an emergency service (plumbing, electrical, etc.) when they say they are at the post office so they need to head to the shop and check their schedule and will call you back, how long would you wait before calling someone else? (Everything is done now, I’m just curious since the first guy was mad that I found someone else who was almost there by the time he called me back)

If it's an emergency and they need to check their schedule just call someone else... if you want to get paid there's no such thing as a schedule

@kambam, @eaj8290, that’s how I looked at it. My hubby thinks that on a few things that I over react or jump the gun since I’ve gotten pregnant but I felt like I was in the clear on this one. I will admit that my hormones sometimes take control though. But I gave the guy a half an hour to call me back before I started calling around. He called me back 2 hours later saying he can be there in a bit. Ummmm, you never even told me if today could work or any sort of a time frame, so yes I went elsewhere

Yeah even that is a lot of time to give someone. Whenever I have something needing to be done around the house emergency or not, if they don't give me a time on the spot, I'm calling around.

@eaj8290, that’s what I thought. I live in a rural area and the only guy in town had heart surgery yesterday. So I had to look around. The guy I mentioned in this post would have a 45 min drive time on icy roads. Guy who actually set something up and was on the road almost right away, was an hour drive on icy roads. By the time he called me back, the second guy was almost here
