My 2 year old has the stomach virus does anyone know how long it last I heard it’s going around

My 12 month old has not been feeling good for the last 5-6 weeks

Usually 24-48 hours then a couple of days with them not eating much. Lots of pedialyte and BRAT diet when he stops throwing up. (Banana rice apples and toast)

My son has had it every year since he's been born so I'm hoping this year will not happen 😣

I think the longevity of a virus depends on the individual immune system. When my SO gets sick it goes on for weeks. If my DD catches it from him it usually lasts a week and I just flat out don't get sick. When there's something going around in my house my SO and DD get sick I may feel a little yucky for a day or two because of course I will catch what they have but my body fights it off before it ever becomes anything.

I have it and it's horrible but I'm on antibiotics to treat it.

But I'm also pregnant so it might take longer for me. But keep fluids in him give him pedialyte and dry toast and if that don't work I would take him to his pediatrician

@lydia09876 my DD gets the same way when she's not feeling well she eats she sleep she plays sometimes she doesn't like to drink a lot but I always leave a cup of water out for her to drink whenever she gets thirsty.
