I haven’t been in here in forever, so much has been going on! Baby boy has had a really hard time…

I haven’t been in here in forever, so much has been going on! Baby boy has had a really hard time with this surgery.... he got pneumonia the day of his surgery, and we thought he was recovering, until he tested positive for pneumonia again and then staph! We are on about a 4 month course of antibiotics right now, due to the fact that the pneumonia has now turned chronic, and we are attempting to knock it out completely. A day after finding out about his new infections, he started bleeding from an unknown source.... A LOT! We got it under control, found the source, stabilized him.... just for him to go into a complete respiratory distress today....(he’s been on a ventilator since surgery, which is normal... it is NOT normal however to not be able to breathe while being ventilated). This was quite concerning. His respiratory rates got into the 90s, his HR got up to the 190s, he was not looking good. We were able to get him stabilized again... we are hoping that this episode was due to withdrawal, possibly even just trying to get over his current infections.... the bad part is, it could be another infection or even his lungs showing us they are tired.... we got some x rays, they show collapse, however, this is somewhat “normal” for him... especially after struggling so much. Prayers for my sweet boy! On a good note, my husband and I have been talking about getting a bigger vehicle (I currently have a tahoe), we need to be able to crate all of our little guys equipment around, as well as my oldest’s stuff. Today we went and looked at a few new cars... they hubby surprised me with a brand new suburban! I am super obsessed! He was telling me how thankful he was for me and for everything I’ve been doing and how he wanted to get me a new car. Now for me to learn how to park this thing in the med center. 🤔
