Quick rant... When I tell my child not to do something please don't say to her, "oh that's fine, you can do that" or "you go ahead and play with that" or "it's yours take it home"... It's hard enough to get a two year old to listen without people undermining what you say. Not only that when they are picking up/playing with breakable objects it's dangerous for both the child and the object.
