I guess it would depend on what you find affordable. I live in Grayslake, near Libertyville and Mundelein. All are good areas. I have a 2 br, 2 ba for about $1435 a month. I used areavibes.com and typed in each city that was a possible choice for me.
It's not impossible to find something in that range, but I will say a little difficult lol. At least where I live. We were looking for something around that price when we moved here in August and there weren't many options when we narrowed our search to a max rent of $1200. But you also aren't limited to live where I do. We had to find something close to base. There are plenty of other places a little more out that are affordable and good.
@motherof3nigerianprincesses, i live in southern illinois, most houses for rent are like $600-$800, you can get a real nice house for $1200. Only problem is it’s super boring here lol
