Hubby got stuck at work til 7:30pm. Imagine a 14.5 hr day... yuck! He's picking up take out on the way home. Baby is in bed. Feel bad she hasn't seen him all day. It'll be more days like this until after Christmas season! Life of a trucker and trucker's wife!

Right, mine is only home monthly, but when I drove local, every day was 14 hrs. So it could be worse

@cbrebelkat, that's how it was with my first. His work figured out this past summer hiring another driver was cheaper. They did this after we financially decided I could work part time and his overtime decreased by over 1k a month. I went up to working 30 hours a week; but now decreasing as I go out on leave. I'll take the overtime. Just a hectic day yesterday. I got a flat tire on my way home from an ob appt. Four hours of frustration with waiting to get it changed, then fixed. I got home and my mom was still at my house. And it was cranky hour with my daughter.
He did over the road before. Gone 10 weeks at a time was pure torture!

@gracelynnsmama understood. No way could I let him be out 10 weeks. Even 8 weeks is way to hard, emotionally on our baby. Our boy is good with the 4 week deal, for now, tho.

@cbrebelkat, yeah. He went from that to regional but they took advantage of "every weekend home". Now he's local. He went to local right when I had complications with my first pregnancy. Having a preemie. No way I could do it alone in the beginning
