So I wanna start going back to work Jan/feb while I’ll be attending school at night .. my ONLY problem is Jayden with daycare 😭 he doesn’t go to sleep with anybody but me or his father ! And has to be swaddled and bounced on the bed .. I need to break this habit .. maybe soon just give him a bottle lay him in the crib and see how long it takes him to fall asleep ? I know it’s gonna be a rough couple nights cause he’s gonna scream his head off 😭😭☹️ but as anybody done something similar and has it worked ? 😅

You’re just going to probably have to let him scream he’ll get used to it. I did it with my son.

I did that with my daughter when she was 9 months old. She cried for 2 nights but the second night she only cried for maybe 5 minutes. I don't know if your baby is old enough for that yet. I remember my Hubby and I askin our doctor when she went for her 4 month checkup and he said that she was too small to do it then but when she got a little older it would be fine. She sleeps through the night now. I honestly think she was still waking up every 3 hours out of habit for her bottle. I'd ask your doctor if he's big enough. If the doctor gives you the go ahead, I would do it but only if you're comfortable with it. It's hard the first couple of nights girl. I cried on the first night. Don't let anyone discourage you either though. Some people don't believe in doing the cry it out method and will try to discourage you from doing it but only you know best and from personal experience it worked for me after 9 months of no sleep.

@mommylovescoraline, yea I don’t want to do it .. but it’s the only way to get him to sleep on his own so I can prepare him for daycare 🙁... I’m not trying to get him to sleep through the night he gets up once for a feeding , it just needs to be done to put him in daycare cause he’s to pick when it comes to putting him to sleep and who is putting him to sleep

@tiffanyf, my son was about 6-7 months old it took about a week. The first 2-3 nights were the hardest (for both of us lol) but he stopped crying and just whined a little and put himself to sleep.

Trying giving him one of your shirts your scent may make him more comfortable.
