I don’t think you can have an epidural, I didn’t get to have a water birth which I was gutted about, but I spent all the night before in the bath and I was in the bath at the hospital for as long as possible and it helped with the contraction pain. I would love a water birth too when I have another baby x
I would recommend a water birth to anyone i loved mine and defo plan to have another!... i only had gas and air so not sure about pain relief. Mine wasnt a planned water birth i had my boy in the hospital bath as my pain was in my back. (The baths are bigger than the birthing pools) and alot nicer!
I had paracetamol for 2 hours and gas and air 2 hours. 4 hours from start to finish, job done 😂😂 on my first baby too lool. X

@sjbeanie, just say you want one so if it all goes straight forward everyone knows that's what you ideally want. When you go into labour and phone the hospital let them know so they can check the pool is free and if possible you could use it. I loved mine and definitely wanting one for any future babies xx

@sjbeanie, I only had gas and air, I'm not 100% your not allowed an epidural I would ask your midwife to make sure tho xx

No i doesn't. But defo recommend if you can. Always ask them as they not ask you! X
