Isabelle has a doctors appointment tomorrow and I just know they’re going to bitch that she hasn’t had her 15mo shots. 😫 I’m just nervous to have her get them.
I have three people I know personally who have children who are vaccine injured (and yes, it is a thing). They all had seizures shortly after getting their shots, one is fine, one has epilepsy, and one is now completely nonverbal. All of them happened with their 15mo vaccines and one was told by their pedi that they honestly could find no other answer to why it happened except for a reaction to one of the vaccines. IT SCARES THE SHIT OUT OF ME.
PLEASE don’t make this into an argument about vax vs antivax. I know vaccines are there to help. I know they’re good. I KNOW. I KNOW. But I also know that reactions can and do happen and I’m just really worried. If I have her get them and something happens, I’ll never forgive myself and if she DOESNT get them and something happens I would never forgive myself either.
Regardless, she’s not getting them tomorrow and I don’t care who says what. I know how awful she acts when she’s sick and I know how awful she acts when she gets her shots and I really don’t want to mix the two. She’d be miserable.

Chances are if she’s sick they may not push her to get them. But if it helps you feel better, my daughter is perfectly fine and just had her 15mo shots a few weeks ago.

You do what you feel is right for your baby. Don't let anybody pressure you one way or the other

Space them out. We do 2 at a time. Pedestrian works with us on our decision. We waited and had her get the flu shot 3 weeks after her 12 month vaccines.
At her 15 month, I'll have the new baby so it'll be harder to space them but I can always go back and have my mom watch the baby. What you're comfortable with is important! If the doctor is pressuring you; not a good thing!

Mine hasn't had his 15mo ones and is already due for the 18mo ones. I'm very scared and nervous for some reason, though I don't have a valid reason to be. Sigh. We will have to get the 15m ones this month.
