Ladies please do me a favor and ask your bfs/husbands why does a car over heat and randomly turn off?! My brothers car smokes from the front inside where the engine is and while we were driving across the street it randomly turned off !!!

Radiator may be bad. You need coolant, the car is overheating

It cutting off and running hot... I hate to say but possible cracked head gasket. Done been there.

Sometimes you can tell by checking oil and if it looks really milky and watery means you have a cracked head.

@dayanaavila17 depends on how motor sits. But you have to take motor out. You can probably find it on YouTube what kind of car is it? I can message you a link. But it will cost a lot of money to go have it done.

Maybe a bad thermostat, out of coolant or water, bad water pump, or bad fan. How many times had it happened?

Oh man. Is there any liquid in the radiator? If there is, turn the car on and let it run with the hood up and see if the fans turn on, but shut it off before it gets too warm. If the fans work it's probably the water pump or radiator, but at this point you've probably broken the head gasket or cooked the motor....both of which suck. Broken gasket could run near $1000, a motor could be several thousand. Why kind of car?

Okay. Hopefully it's the cheaper issue, because it's probably not worth it if it's the motor. My car is a 2002 Saturn, and if the motor was shot it'd cost more to fix than the car is worth.
