That happen to me, they had me keep going back every 3 months for a Pap smear till I was like on my 8th time doing it and I told them to do a Colposcopy and it turned out I have cervical cancer. NOW DON’T GET SCARED, 90% of the time the abnormal cells go away on their own but if you keep having to get one like I did, I’d advise you to tell them to do a Colposcopy.

@serrao_angel But they caught it early enough and now your fine? You would think they would finally do that before you had to ask.

I had an abnormal pap a few months ago and they want me to go back in a year, is that normal?? I feel like I should be going in sooner than that...

@misswiggles, I’m in the process of trying to remove the cancer right now. I just got diagnosed not to long ago. Right? It’s not the first time I’ve had to ask for things to be done with them.

@renelei, the latest they would wait to do another Pap for abnormal ones is 6 months, they usually aren’t suppose to let you go another year with an abnormal pap 🤔 so that’s kinda weird they are making you wait a year.

@serrao_angel sorry your having to go through that. 😔 I hope everything goes smoothly for you. I just read that it's easily curable so that's always good to know.

@renelei, yeah I think you should, if anything have them schedule a 6 month one if they don’t want to do a 3 month one because waiting a year is to long.
