Try a 6 year old. Lol. My daughter got diagnosed with ODD and mild ADD she is a defiant little shit and drives everyone up the wall. We're currently attempting to try different strategies to help her improve her impulsiveness.

I wish I could help. I've been dealing with the same from mine for awhile. He's 5 and they have him on meds that don't seem to be helping. I limit his sugar and red dye intake and it helps but I'm struggling. Spanking only helps sometimes and taking stuff just makes him worse 😥

@star_wars_freak_2010, i have been trying to just calm him down by talking but my mom baby sits while i work and she is starting to get over whelmed and @twice_blessed, i cant spank him because it literally doesn’t phase him one bit it just makes him more angry but we are set up to see a specialist in a few months but i dont know how much more i can handle esp when my sister and parents make comments about how he is raised and make it seem like its my fault he has something like this wrong like i caused it when i try to discipline him he acts like he doesnt understand

@lae1988 Mine was and is the same way. He doesn't understand a lot of things he should. When I try to explain stuff he looks at me blankly. Its not your fault tho. Some children are just born with difficulties.

@lae1988, don't feel bad. It's not your fault. I feel that it's like my daughter doesn't make the connection between bad behavior and punishment. My daughters specialist suggested to try walking her through how to have self control. Basically get her to stop and weigh decisions. Her specialist suggested when she makes a bad decision to walk her through what her decision was and what it should've been and why.
