I'm not in the Christmas spirit this year. My husband said last night he wants to buy me a gift and I lost it. I want to blame it on pregnancy hormones but honestly I'm just tired of living in this house. Our room will not be done until spring ( if the landlord actually goes through with it, as she has been giving excuses of how contractors don't want to build in the winter) and we are still paying full rent. I'm ready to own my home. Hopefully 2018 will be better.

I know how you feel hun. When my husband asked me what I wanted for Christmas I wanted to say "the $200 we have to pay your mom to live in this cramped room and clean up after everyone every day" but I held my tongue or I would have exploded too! 😂

I've been there. Our kitchen was remodeled while we were here. It was supposed to be done but then the roof leaked and the list goes on. Now, 8 months later... finishing touches are happening. I can't bitch too much... we rent from my husband's family. And well... like today. I'll be going to work and his aunt is going to work on the kitchen a bit and watch our daughter until my husband gets home. Can't complain.... it's been worse. I'm finally getting to decorate and that's my thing!

@believeinbuddha, haha. My husband wants power tools. I looked at him and says how about save money so we can pay our bills when I'm on maternity leave! Hmmm been down this road last year with him too!

@gracelynnsmama, we take in foster kids so they have 2 bedrooms and our bedroom was hit by a high speed chase. We are currently sleeping in our living room with a toddler and baby due in February. I just keep saying we could be homeless.. just really hard to be positive when it happened in August and she has had the check going on 2 months.
