I’m getting the feeling they never should have changed my due date. When I found out I was pregnant my last period put my due date at December 20. When they did the ultrasound he was a couple weeks behind (give or take) and so they moved my due date to January 1st. But this child is HUGE. My friend just told me I’m the same size she was when she had her son, who was 9 lb 3 oz. my girls were tiny. My oldest was born at 36 weeks, 6 lb 1oz. My second was born 40 weeks 5 days, 7 lb 1oz. Now with my second I had a lot of ultrasounds at the end cause of her being breech. Due to my labor scare last night my dr today did a quick look and omg I’ve never seen such a huge baby. Neither of my kids were that big. But the drs aren’t concerned about him being too big or anything. But hellllooooo...my vagina is very concerned. Lol. I really don’t know if I can handle a 9 pound child coming out of me. Major kudos to you momma who had big babies!!! I’m terrified now.

My son is huge & they plan on him being 9-10lbs I got 2 weeks and half before my c sections. I don’t think I’m make it, but when I was 7 months with my son now. I was the same size with my first pregnancy at 9 months.

You'll be okay!! Many women give birth naturally to big babies. He was 9lbs....He did get stuck and I had to have a c-section. Everyone said I was huge and that there had to be twins in there 😑

Girl, don't let the doctor scare you! They told me my daughter was going to be a 10 pounder. They even sent me to a high risk doctor because they were afraid she was too big. She was 8lb 5oz at birth. They also told me my son was going to be big too. He was 6lb 3 oz.

@mississippi.mama, they haven’t told me anything yet. That’s the thing. I just know he’s bigger than my other two were. And I have a very strong feeling they shouldn’t have changed my due date. My best friend is pregnant with my son’s cousin (the daddies are brothers) and she’s measuring like 2 or 3 weeks ahead. She had to go to a specialist and she gets an ultrasound every two weeks because of other issues. But I haven’t had an ultrasound since the anatomy scan at 20 weeks and today they just did a quick look to make sure he was head down. No measurements or anything.

Hahaha. I had resigned myself to a big baby even before I was pregnant. I was over 8lbs so I figured I'd have a bigger baby too. The doctor said he'd be an average size, though, 7-8lbs. Ha!

@nomli, I think I was just under 8 pounds myself. My oldest’s bio dad was TINY so she was only 6 pounds. My second’s dad was just really built and even caused his mom to need a csection but she came out at 7 pounds. This one’s dad is super tall and a little broad. He was 9 pound at birth I think, but his mom gave birth January 7 and was due like the second week of December.

Oh wow! Yeah, he was 10 days early and STILL 9lbs. His dad was an under-2lbs-preemie, so we can't use his birth size as reference. He is tall, though, and both his dad and mine are bigger guys.
Ask the doctor wha' ll happen if you go to January 7th. Ask if they're going to make you wait until week 41 or 42 to be induced, or will they induce you ON the 7th? Ask if you can have the date changed back based on his size now. It's tough. Due dates are really just guesses, but you don't want to be made to wait way past your original date, since that was based on your period...that would be way uncomfortable.
