At what point of your pregnancy should you start buying stuff for your baby? Ftm here

Everyone says after the 12 week mark you can start buying gender neutral stuff because the risk for miscarriage is down or whatever but I started buying when I was around 6-7 weeks I didn't care it made me feel good to buy a little yellow blanket or something.

You can always buy gender neutral things here and there in the beginning of pregnancy, I would really start buying things after I find out the gender. At least by 30 weeks I would make sure I have the big things like a crib, car seat, stroller, carrier, swing/rocknplay/momaroo. I say that because you don’t know how your pregnancy will be, I was going to have a shower at 35 weeks and I didn’t buy anything beforehand besides the crib so I had nothing. I wasn’t able to have the shower because I was placed on strict bed rest around that time 😕

Or you could always have the shower earlier on and buy what you don’t have and need afterwards, if you are planning to have a shower 😊

I waited until about 6 weeks but really whenever you want

u can stock diapers, wipes, bottlea, etc asap...id wait for gender specific items til you know gender. I didn't have an elaborate shower, in fact it was just a diaper party...so hubby and I bought almost everything and its good to space the purchases out instead of last minute

I bought her one pack of onesies when I found out the gender at 12 weeks and waited til 18 weeks to confirm now I just buy stuff as I go or if I see deals but I don’t wanna ain’t til after my shower and have to rush to get everything
