I didn’t have one personally. But my sister in law did and she had a lot of problem with healing, infection and pain.
I did have an epidural it hurt me a shit ton just because I was having absolutely horrible back labor, a lot of women don’t notice it but just a little pinch when they stick the needle in.
I had an epidural and a c-section. The epidural sucked, but not because it hurt....It just skeeved me out. Same for the c-section. Healing was actually pretty good. Those first few days, laughing and coughing and pooping hurt some, but the painkillers are amazing. If it had been planned it probably would've been an okay experience, but since it was an emergency after hours of labor, I was exhausted and somewhat freaked out.
