I need to rant. So my husband wants to go to his families for thanksgiving but we have a 3month old…
I need to rant.
So my husband wants to go to his families for thanksgiving but we have a 3month old son with a hole in heart and it wouod be too scary to take him 12 hours away to a different state so I told him he could take our oldest because I didn't want to tell him no. His sister passed away in May and feels stessed because his mom and other sister put a lot on him like they want him to go back and help around the house because they have a lot of land and his dad is a truck driver who is gone a lot and his mom has his sisters kids. I love that he wants to help but we have an infant son who could get worse at anytime and end up in the hospital. I never cries in front of him when his sister passed even though she was a good friend of mine because I wanted to be strong for him and I am being as strong as possible for my son even though he will need open heart surgery at 6 months. He also lost his job here but we have an apartment and car and my family is here which I lived literally 2 seconds from his family for 3 years and now we live 15 minutes away from my family but only for 6 months. We have visited hia family before I had our son and they came visited here not that long ago. Am I wrong to think its unfair for them to tell him to go there for Thanksgiving? I mean for one we barely have money for bills. Two what if something happens with our son while he is gone? I know my mom would help but he is the father and my husband. We made a commitment to be there for each other. I have been there for him when he needed me most and I am always here for him. But I'm scared and worried all the time. And isn't Thanksgiving suppose to be about family? I mean yeah we wipo be with family but not together as our little family of five.

@jingle_belles no he knows our son can't go. He has told his family we arent going but he asked his dad for gas money. He usually won't tell his dad unless its serious.

@jingle_belles i told him that it sucks that his mom is in such a hard situation but so are we. He needs to be here with his family. We need him here. He just so badly wants to go there. I'm kind of afraid he either won't come back or will go back to his old ways of drinking and other things and hanging out with girls.

@jingle_belles well our apartment is too small for everyone and the oldest is my stepson which is who he is taking. The youngest who is my baby who is 3 months old is staying. Hes the one with medical problems.
