My sons teacher at his daycare/school tried saying he’s delayed in language cause he only knows 4-5 words..? He’s only a year and 5 months old, and every kid learns at a different pace. When I was a baby I didn’t talk much until I was 2.

I don’t think it is a bad thing to be in a program honestly. There is nothing wrong with him only saying a few words, but if the program helps him learn it is a benefit, there is nothing wrong with it. But people don’t need to be making comments
@sawyersmom, and they even referred me to a program without telling me to my face I said no. Even my mom was saying comments and she can mind her own business too.
At 15 months they only want them to say 4 words. Tell her to mind her own words.
I’m a daycare teacher and I have a couple almost 2 yr olds that only say a few words! It’s ok! He will get there!!
I work at a school with kids ages 3-13 and some of the three year olds you have a hard time understanding because they speak gibberish. I think kids to develop differently and it should be nothing to be worried about!
My son is only a year and 4 months and don’t really talk either he will say mama dada daddy baba hi and a few other random words when he feels like it but that’s about all he will say.. my two step kids didn’t really start talking till they were 3 and even our 4 about to be 5 year old you still have a lot of trouble understanding him
