Guys, I need your opinion.
My father and mother divorced when I was 15.very messy not friendly divorce. Between my other 2 siblings, my father has never once paid child support. Yesterday my mother was randomly deposited almost 2k in child support. Me and my younger brother were both underage when this whole ordeal happened. Do u guys think me and my brother are entitled to any of that money?

When I was around 18 my mom got around 2k as well from my dads disability as backpay from when I was a teen, and my mom have it all to me. My other siblings where older, so they didn’t get anything

Honestly you are not entitled.. child support is issued to the custodial parent/guardian of the child or children. The money is for the parent to aid in raising. So I think your mom spent more than 2k over the years. If my dad gave my mom any money in back pay I would tell her to go on a vacation 😁

Agreed. Your mom spent the money initially, so the back pay is just repaying her
