I agree it is very frustrating at first. My little man can't seem to get my nipple back where he needs it so if I do latch him I have to use a nipple guard. But I just started pumping and putting it in a bottle. I wish I had better luck but it's just more convenient for me. Maybe by my next kid it will be easier. Best of luck mama!

I had to use a nipple guard too, because he had trouble latching. Right before he turned 3 months he started latching without it. It can be painful and a pain in the butt, but it saved me so much money! And it was cool, until he got teeth haha. I breastfed until a little over 1. He’s now 14 months, drinking whole milk or the frozen breast milk I have. 😁
