Okay so here is my birth story.

Around 6pm Tuesday I started having irregular, but very intense period like cramps. I kind of brushed them off and didn't think much of it. Until around midnight they started getting to be 5-7 minutes apart and not slowing down, I then realized I was actually in labor. I attempted to sleep, which did not go well, then at about 5:45am in the middle of a contraction a really loud pop noise came from my stomach. Kind of like when someone uses their finger to create a popping noise with the inside of their cheek. Every contraction after that was excruciating and I was crying and yelling out with each one. We went to L&D triage immediately and I was dilated to a 5, by the time we got into a delivery room I was begging for something to ease the pain because it was so intense that I was throwing up from it. I wanted the epidural, but they didn't know how long that would take so I received Stadol first. It made me kind of loopy and super out of it, kind of like I was drunk. About 30 minutes later I received the epidural and I slept for an hour and a half before being woken up to have the catheter inserted. I was checked again and I was already dilated to a 9! They broke my water and discovered he had pooped inside me, but he wasn't in distress. About 20 minutes later they had me start pushing and in a little under 20 minutes he was out. I felt most of it because the epidural started wearing off pretty fast on my left side, but I really think it went perfectly. I am beyond happy with how my labor went and I can't wait to take my baby home in the morning! 😊👣
