I’m probably overreacting but Isabelle never acknowledges when we say her name. We have to say it five or six times to get her to pay attention, and even then she doesn’t seem to care sometimes. I understand it’s most likely because she isn’t listening and is fixated on other things, but I’ve been told that’s a red flag as far as being on the autism spectrum goes, so naturally I am freaked the hell out. 🤦🏼♀️

She is probably just being a toddler but you can mention it to dr my son was head banging which I read could mean autism but dr said it was because he was teething

Autism isn’t bad! My fiancé is actually autistic it just means their brains process things differently. It is a sign of autism but it could also be trouble hearing or she’s just being a toddler and ignoring you.

@eryka616, oh I know mama! I just get worried for the future. It wouldn’t bother me a bit aside from being worried sick about her being made fun of for being different. I have a family member whose son has low functioning autism. He is ten and is just now starting to become verbal. He’s a sweet boy but he had to be put in homeschooling because he was bullied so much. People are just so mean and I would hate for her to have to experience something like that. It makes me so worried.

My daughter does the same thing, but I’m pretty positive that she’s just a toddler and doesn’t listen most of the time lol
