Mom friends. I'd like your opinions on how you discipline your children. Today I had Aubrie at a little Play Place thing and she ended up smacking another little girl in the face and when I went to grab her to tell her that was naughty she started pulling my hair and smacking me in the face. Normally I would spank her or pop her on the mouth but my friend was kind of like hey there are people around. Am I wrong though? Should it matter if people are around? I'm not going to let my child hit me and just take it.

Whether people are around or not discipline her the way you do. My kids public or not they misbehave they get popped and we leave the premises

IDGAF who is around.
Those are the same people running at the mouth in 10-15 years asking why the parent didn’t discipline their kid.
As long as your not breaking any laws then you can parent how ever you feel appropriate.

@brownsugarluv. @_naturalnurtuter_ I agree. And I hate how the little girl's parents just laughed when it happened. I don't care if it didn't phase her at all. It's just showing my daughter that it's okay and that it's funny to hit other people.

I smack my son's hands or pop him in the butt wherever we are. I'll be damned if he grows up thinking that if we are in public mama won't Discipline him.

It's just my opinion, all kids are different and you do what you have to, but with mine, that would just teach him to hit more and would see it as a game. There a lot more ways to discipline a toddler, or at least mine, that work a lot better, cus he sees a harsh tone or some sort of a time out as much more of a punishment.

It doesn't matter who's around you have to be consistent with children or they'll know when they can get away with things. What's your friend afraid of anyway?
