We have been in cloth diapers for one day. And she got a rash 😭. Im praying shes not sensitive to the material and its a fluke
@ashleydunn i imagine allergy would cause an immediate reaction though, right? She has been in cloth all day with no signs of rash until her last change before bed.
@ashleydunn no, I use Dreft on her clothes. We are using alva pockets w/ microfiber inserts.
@jacqui2012.jl definitely don't give up! It may be a simple fix. Depending on where the rash is, it could be from friction too if she is active... may can try adjusting the fit in some areas? I don't know. Just a suggestion.
@pettybetty yeah i tried to get all my ducks in a row before even trying to put them on her. Read everything i could find on them. And each different style. Decided pocket would be best for our lifestyle. Got a wash routine, tested my water. Did everything that was recommended to me. So im stumped. I plan to just give it a few days and see what happens. Trying not to get discouraged too badly.
@jacqui2012.jl okay. just checking because Microfiber against skin will cause a rash.
@jacqui2012.jl you have the microfiber inside the pocket and not against the skin?
@pettybetty about 3 to 4 hours, if i change her before then shes dry. They are alva pockets with microfiber inserts and i bought them new. She was fine all day until her change right before bed. Im beginning to think shes getting used to actually feeling wet since, in disposables, i changed her as soon as she went. She never sat in a wet diaper. Im still trying to figure out how long is too long or too soon since this is day one.
Thats strange. How long did you go betweem changes? What style and brand? Were they new or used? Maybe it's a detergent issue? I use purex powder.
@ashleydunn great! I'll give that a shot! Thank you.
