My little heartbeat baby NJ born November 11, 2017 via C Section at 5:11am 8lbs 13oz 21 3/8 inches long.

Birth Story [Its Long] : I was scheduled for an induction November 10th at 5:00am, arrived to the hospital on time, got checked in to my room and changed so I could take my cyotec to get contractions going. About 10 minutes after I took the cyotec contractions hit me hard lasting 6-7 minutes, each one sharper than the last. About 20 minutes later 4 nurses had to rush in because I started hyperventilating, my body was shaking uncontrollably, babies heart rate started dropping quickly, my blood pressure kept dropping, not to mention I was screaming my head off. I ended up having to have 2 shots to stop the contractions because the first one they gave me did absolutely nothing, they then gave me oxygen and had to force me to breathe because I was going into a full panic attack. About 30 minutes later they finally got me to calm down and my blood pressure back to normal and babies heart rate back steady. Fast forward 3 hours later, my midwife had come to visit me and check my cervix, after seeing i was still 1 1/2 CM dilated she decided to insert the Foley balloon which put an extreme amount of pressure on my bladder forcing me to go to the bathroom every 5-10mins which made them think I had a UTI which I didn’t once they ran some tests. A couple hours pass by and my midwife comes in to check me again breaking my water and letting me know I’ve dilated to a 7 which i honestly didn’t think i did with the way the balloon was sitting. 15 minutes go by and the anesthesiologist comes in to do my epidural which helped so much especially with how bad my body was contracting. My nurses kept coming in every 15-20 minutes to check me and the baby to make sure his heart rate didn’t drop again. They allowed me to sleep about 30 minutes between each check and every time a different nurse would come in and flip me from side to side because my baby was head down but not in the right position to pass through the birth canal so they thought by moving me it would help his body move into the right spot. Hours go by of tossing and trying to get him to turn and by now it’s 3am. 4:15 come and 4 nurses and my OB come into my room to let me know they’ve decided to do an emergency C Section because of my babies heart rate dropping at this point I’m crying and shaking because I’m terrified of surgery and absolutely didn’t want anything to happen to my son or myself. We get into the OR room and they get me prepped and I can’t stop shaking, my breathing is all over the place I’m feeling sick to my stomach and have no control over what is about to happen to me. They start the surgery and my husband is in the room with me trying to keep me calm and soon as the doctor says “you’re going to feel some pressure” I had another panic attack, started screaming loudly, crying hysterically and eventually passed out, I woke up at the end of my surgery unable to breathe and in excruciating pain I honestly thought i was dying at the moment until I heard my son crying at that point I smiled and ended up passing out again and didn’t wake up until i was in the recovery room wondering how I had gotten there. Through all that pain and horrible experience I went through my son was all worth it.
