I know WIC covers 80% , typically how many extra cans do you ladies have to buy with your own money?…

I got 9 cans and had to buy one. I get 10 cans at our next visit since she will be 6 months old but she drinks more now so I'll probably have to still buy one or two.

@believeinbuddha, yea I get 9 cans but he goes through it now is 2 day she eats 5-6 oz every 3 hrs

I went through one of those medium cans in one week! Your best bet is buying the biggest one or if you have a BJ’s card getting those. I had WIC in Texas but I moved to Jersey when my daughter was 6 months old. Jersey’s formula and systems is way different. I had to buy my own in BJ’s. 😖

At the end of every month i go through this too, super annoying. But call your doctor and say you ran out and cant afford any they should give you some. Thats what I do

@bemx94, I go to the clinic till we get our insurance cards in the mail so idk if they will do that 😭

@tiffanyf, unless you have Blue cross and blue shield you can find out easily if you have insurance without needing the card. You can call the insurance and ask for the information needed. But if you have Medicaid you can either do it that way or they have a computerized system that indicates the coverage. I worked in a hospital and everyone uses that. Some people are just jerks when it comes to the insurance card.

They used to give us 10 but then it dropped to 7 when she turned 6 months old, soo we buy 3 cans with our Oren money.
