@jacksmama17 He cheated on you, that's more than needing a break to think about things land. You're better than that. You and your little guy deserve better. Just remember one thing, you're raising a little boy, what he sees is how he's going to treat a women when he gets old enough to date. Do you want him to be a gentleman and treat a female proper or grow up to abuse the female and cheat yet live to get away with it?
@jacksmama17 I don't share much personal stuff about myself on the Internet as a general rule, but I feel this will help you and your son. I grew up in a volatile environment, I'll leave it at that (drinking, cheating, abuse, etc.). I never dated, I was all about grades abs getting through school early, then college. While I was in Med school, I met this guy that I thought was just the most amazing person ever. I ended up marrying him and within a month, he changed ( this was after knowing him for two years). Lies, abuse, cheating, yet because of the way I was raised, I thought I had to stay. I stayed 10 years. I ended up in the hospital because he literally almost killed me and I allowed it. Anyway, when the divorce was final ( I gave him everything: house, cars, money, just to be free), he still found a way in my life. That was seven years ago. Present day, I remarried six years ago, beyond happy, and the best part, after six MCs, we just had our rainbow baby girl two months ago. Long story short, life does get better, but kids see things and continue the cycle. I'm sorry this was so long, but the point is, there is always someone better and life does get better. I've never shared this with anyone.
