Everyone is different. But it’s usually a good amount. You can lose pieces at a time until it fully comes out

Yeah what @momof2boyskb said. I kept losing pieces a month before and then a week before until I was in actual labor and didn't know and it just kept coming out with tints of blood

At 36-37 weeks I lost part of mine. It literally wouldn’t stop coming out and the chunks just got bigger and bigger the closer to my due date I got and the day I went into labor massive amounts was coming out.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't really matter until you have your bloody show. With just mucus, it can regenerate.

@mommy2bean, you don't have to lose it. Some people don't until they're in labor. I wouldn't worry about it too much!

Yeah some women don't lose their mucus plug until they're in actual labor. You could have also just not noticed it. I know one time I just saw something in the toilet and I kind of freaked out because it was tinted with a bit of blood so I had asked my doctor and she told me it could of been my mucus plug beginning to come out and that was like the first piece I had seen
