It’s just excess amniotic fluid their bodies are trying to get rid of. It should resolves itself at 4 months at the latest. Lol 😂 I spent almost every doctors appt plus extra ones because I thought my son was congested but it turns out the doctor was right and I was just being a ftm
I wasnt full term but my son came out with mucus all in his lungs and body.. also ever since i got pregnant with him ive had mucus all through my body i wake up and have to spit it all out and my son chokes with the mucus all the time drives me crazy
@jmw24815, he had delayed breathing at birth and they did an X-ray and found fluid in his lungs and put him on cpap for a few hours and he was fine. But now they’re trying to keep him longer because he didn’t eat much at 2 feedings yesterday and he wasn’t even 24 hours old
@mammaoftwo, will they let you try feeding him? If so and he’s being bottle fed hold your finger underneath his jaw bone and chin. He’s still learning to eat. He’ll get the hang of it eventually.
@jmw24815, yep I’ve been breastfeeding him too! He’s not even 2 days old yet. Our first one was born at 32 weeks so I understand the whole process it’s just I made it 39 weeks this time and they’re treating him as if he’s a preemie and it’s so frustrating to me because my biggest goal was to make it full term so the baby didn’t have to go through any of this and so we could have the normal process of a parent

My sister had a preemie and it seemed more normal for her than it was for us

Her son didn’t even have to go to the nicu idk how but they let him stay with her the entire time. They snatched my son up literally a few hours later
