Is 3oz every 3 hrs enough for a 6 week old ?

I think I was going through 4 oz every 3 hours when my son was that age but he's also a very large kid and they told us it was a lot so I'm sure you're doing fine!

@fasciamom I hope so I feel like it's not enough because he either wakes up an hour earlier before feeding and wants to cry until it's time to drink milk ughh

My son is breastfed, but when I'm at work my husband gives him pumped milk. He is 3 months old and drinks 4oz every 3-4 hours. I think we are less than normal tho.

By two months I think he was close to 8oz every 4 hours during the day. The doctor never said anything about it being too much, but he was growing fine.

At two months he should be eating four Oz

Just feed if he's hungry! If he over eats, he will spit up (which is not like how adults throw up, babies don't have a reflex type like we do and isn't a big deal so don't worry)

Just don't go over 30 something oz in 24 hours and you'll be ok!
