Not at all but it will likely only get harder after the baby arrives if he can't change. Will he act like that towards his child in the future? In America, women can be whatever the fuck they want now. So either he can deal with it and support you or find someone who will fall for his behavior.

@kambam, I don't think he'll act like that with our baby but idk it just seems like sense we moved in together I see a different side of him sometimes I feel like a slave instead of a girlfriend or the mother of his child.

They always show their true colors once you cuff up 😅 I would just try having a serious conversation. Letting him know how you feel without accusing him or making him feel a type of way.

I get the woman taking care of the home, but the man is supposed to take care of his woman. And if she's having a hard time, he should step up.

Your not wrong for wanting that trust me. The culture clash is a thing that will always cause issues. But he should be more understanding that your dealing with a lot an can't be super woman like what he's used to cause everyone is different. He has to understand that he can't just be dead set in his ways and that it's a 50/50 in this process from beginning to end

@sherrynygirl, yes my mom taught my brother the same thing and with my parents before there divorce it was 50/50 but not in his case his mom does everything but she's ok with that I'm not I wasn't raised like that idk 😐 I'm a try to talk to him about it see what he says

@ckaitate i have been with my husband 16 yrs..he is puertorican and i am jewish from israel very dif backgrounds but..we make it work.I never have to tell him to help with the kids or help clean.We are a family and we all live here.sleep.here.eat here etc so communication is key

My husband isnt Chaldean but he was raised that way too. He's controlling and demanding. And messy. He says I'm not a wife because I don't do what im supposed to do. He's getting much better because I refuse to deal with that. He's learning real quick I'm not his mother and never will be nor a maid or slave.

My boyfriend would except me clean up after him and my son while being pregnant. Sometimes I could do and sometimes I couldn’t. He came to the understanding that’s it’s exhausting cleaning up with Big ass stomach or cleaning period. I asked him how would he feel coming home from work and having clean up bunch stuff. I told him I’ll clean up but it will be at my own pace & it’ll be down before he needs it. Like I washed all his uniform Sunday night & he will have enough uniforms till Saturday and would start route all over. Washed clothes on one day, cooked one day, food lasted for 2-3 days, and clean. We use go grocery shopping every Thursday but I get so exhausted walking down every aisle make sure I got everything i need.

@h_mother0322, wow you seem like super mom seems like you do a lot . I'm used to doing for myself only and when I lived with my mom she taught all of us how to cook and clean and my brother is 18 and does everything on his own knows how to cook if he is hungry clean up behind himself everything but my boyfriend is different and I think it's about the way you are brought up . He's 31 I don't think he's going to change he tells me all the time my mom been cleaning and cooking washing my clothes etc .for me all my life so he doesn't know how to do anything for himself besides work. I wish I had known this before but now it's a struggle at least you can talk to your man and get a understanding I talked to him and he doesn't understand 😢 he just got mad and said leave it alone that's a woman job. I'm kinda hurt because I really want to be with him but it seems like things are getting worst for me

@ckaitate, my boyfriend use his mama doing everything for him but she always taught them do stuff for them self. So every blue moon he might just get up and cook or help me wash laundry because basket get to heavy for me carry up stairs. My mama taught me how do everything, she taught my 18 sister how clean, my sister can’t cook for her life. She know how make noodles🤦🏽‍♀️ Smh he shouldn’t be acting that way at his age, I would say talk his mom but that could go either way. Smh knowing me I would be ignorant enough just to cook and clean for my self till he got the picture.
