So worried about bringing a newborn into a house with smokers :( they don't smoke outside either…

They HAVE to go outside. You cant have smokers by a newborn! My husband is a smokes and only ever goes outside. Who is it that smokes?

They have 0 respect and it's their house 💔

@kayteamay my partners dad & it would be okay if he would stop smoking upstairs but he won't even do that! We have our own smoke free living room but I want the bedrooms to not be contaminated xx

@sjbeanie its an awkward situation when its not your own family member as its harder to talk to them. Is your partner willing to talk to him? Or your partners mum? Its not fair on you or baby. What are the chances of you getting your own place before baby arrives?

Get your health visitor to tell him!

You HAVE got to make them! It can increase the risk of SIDS so they need to put baby first! Xx

Yes definitely dont be letting them smoke in the house let your midwife and health visitor no asap your health visitor won't take no shit there really strict with that! @sjbeanie

@sjbeanie, smoking near a baby or near the babies bed, clothes toys etc. is disgusting I would seriously be thinking about finding somewhere else to bring the child into it's not safe for a newborn baby to live in a house full or smoke!!xx

I’d go insane, any of my family that smoke have to smoke outside of the house if they visit, come in and leave their coat in the hallway and wash their hands and have a chewing gum or something, may be OTT but you don’t realise how bad smoke sticks to you and do not want smoke breath all over him put your foot down xx

@sjbeanie, tbh it's not safe for you to be around all that smoke when pregnant either, can the council not help you atall or any other family members? I would get your partner to talk to him as it is his dad and he needs to stop being selfish xx

@isabellaboo I am going to talk to him and get him to stop then If he agreed I can air out all upstairs and clean all the curtains etc smoke sticks to everything it's gross
