Venting. I have custody of my 9 year old neice. She's going on 3 months with me. Tonight, out of nowhere she goes to the bathroom and tries to turn the tv on. Its a school night so I told her no. She gets in bed crying, won't quit crying. I was sitting on her bed and she tells me shes afraid of the dark. I'm so annoyed with it 😩. Never had this issue before. I was sitting right beside her why cry

My 11 year old started this and I turn the boring channel on for her and she goes right to sleep

My 11 year old did this too. I would let her put the tv on and set a sleep timer for 30 min or an hour depending on what time it was and told her she needed to be asleep before it went off. She's been doing that ever since.
