Is anyone on iron tablets? If so are they making you constipated? Sorry tmi but I've had to stop taking mine because it was that bad!
@sarahhutchinson68, I was prescribed them as I’m anaemic basically when you take them you are meant to introduce a lot of high in fibre and iron things e.g cabbage, broccoli, brown bread, pulses, beans etc xx
@natalja.tuguseva 200mg Ferrous sulphate - 3 a day I'm on, but im not aloud to switch to anything else until my iron levels come up drastically.
@sarahhutchinson68 yeh my midwife said it is alot more gentle on the body. They just give you 200mg tablets as it's a big dose to get your levels up quicker, but if your not lacking that bad they should switch you to the more gentle form.
Yeah I'll have to do that! I literally can't take the ones they've prescribed! Xx
@sarahhutchinson68 have you mentioned it to your midwife? Mine said if my iron levels had come up enough I could switch to the liquid type, but they havent yet 👎 Maybe enquire and see if you can switch types to a better suited one?
I was supposed to take two a day but not taking any now! They made me constipated at first and the the opposite towards the end! But they made me get piles! 🙊 Dunno what to do lool! Xx
how many do you have to take? Maybe just drop one of you can?
Im on 3 a day and mine are literally doing the complete opposite to me 😂
I was on them for years as I'm annemic due to iron deficiency but I stopped taking them a month before I got pregnant! My doctor and midwife wants me to take them but it's the constipation why Im avoiding them! Xx
Hate them due to the impact on colour of shit (sorry tmi). I stopped taking them
And to drink a crap load of water xx
