Upset is an understatement. I rarely put any faith into my dad but he offered to sort out Skylas birthday cake so I said okay. Now 7 days before her party he has phoned my mum to say he doesn't have enough money for it and has already put the order through so it can't be cancelled so now we have to pay for it. The cake is 80 pounds! Thankfully my mum has offered to pay for it but I feel so bad and I'm just really disappointed in him right now

Aw that sucks. If you offer to arrange something then you save and put the money aside to pay for it. I guess you know not to rely on him in the future.

@sara-lou86 my mum and sister have offered to pay for it because its needed in 7 days Ive spent all my money on the party. And yeah I wont be doing that again :(

That's horrible, don't blame you at all for being annoyed. Definitely wouldn't give him the opportunity to let you down again. My dad's the same .. so much so that I have never allowed him to meet my kids because he let me down my whole life so I won't let him do it to them. X
