Start having her write written assignments at home!!! Like a journal. Mine takes too long to complete his work at school, so I️ time him at home with his homework.

Also for my teenager and I feel like these can work with any age . No more phone during the school week . You only get that and or tablet back on the weekends. School week should be chores and homework then relax after . But you don’t need the phone because it becomes a distraction.

@terresa.nash, you’re welcome took me a while to learn this myself . After seeing her behavior with the phone over the years I decided to try that this year . So far so good . Now if she had an attitude during the week for whatever the reason or not finishing what she needs to then I keep it that weekend too.

Does she have a set homework time and place at home? Also could have teacher send home all of the work she doesn't complete at school with the expectation that it gets completed that night at home.

@amommyofp yeah she does soon as she gets home and get out of her 🏫 clothes and get a snack then it's homework time and I have asked and teacher be like I will and then she doesn't I have been asking her for about 1 week

@terresa.nash, then on Monday ask for a parent conference (teacher here talking). Say that you want to teach your daughter that she needs to do her work at school. In order to help her, I need the work she doesn't complete during the day to come home for her to do it at home. Personally, I've never found that taking things away changes anything. Maybe having the devices out there for her to see but realizing that she can't get to them until all of her work is done would be a motivator
