So my 1 year old prefers Pears over cookies....

Let me explain... We went to the store the day before yesterday and got quite a few things, amongst those things were Chips ahoy and 2 pears, at check out my 1 year old son preceded to stand up in the cart and try and reach the conveyer belt the food was on, I asked the lady at the register if she wouldn't mind going ahead and ringing up one of the pears and handed her one. My husband then proceeded to tell me "no babe he wants the cookies", well the cashier rings up the pear and takes the sticker off the pear and hands it to my very cranky 1 year old whom I'm trying to stop from climbing on to the conveyer belt one handed, he grabs the pear and immediately calms down, sits back down in his seat properly and starts to eat the pear! Shut my husband right up and I get 20 points for getting my kids to choose fruit over junk at 1 year old!!
