Ok ladies. I have a doc appt to get back on birth control for the 1st time since having my son. I was on nuvaring loved it!!! But thinking of getting something a little more long term. Maybe something that will make it so I didn't have a period at all (one thing I loved about nivaring) I get cramps for the 1st two days that are stupid painful like hard to walk and make my knees hip and back hurt like I was hit with a bat. Any suggestions?

My cousin has one that goes in her arm under the skin. I can't remember what it's called tho.
@jskidsmom hmm. I guess I'll have to ask the doc when I go see him whay he suggest. A less painful period would be perfferd. Skipping makes me nervous now just because I didn't have one for so long then got off it then like 3 or 4 months later got pergnet with my son and didn't even have a period in between the time I got off it and getting pergnet.
@nitarose070793 I don't want to be mean! I had bad pms when I was younger on the pill but I'm the worst about taking something everyday and made me sick every time I took it. I was another baby in like 2 years. I wants about a 4 year gap with our kids and my son turns 2 in feb
@rikki.ferguson ok so no nexplanon. I would do every other month or something like that. But I had nuvaring for years and loved it. I asked my doc about when I got and she told me it was ok to do it that way.
@nitarose070793 my cousin had drop and said she hated it made he gain a butt ton of weight.
I hated the nexplanon. I would bleed for like a month straight every other month, had low sex drive, crazy mood swings, migraines. It's unhealthy to not have a period also.
Maybe I'll just stick with the nuvaring
