It’s a good thing me and lazy bones are heavy sleepers because the lady across from me has said she has had enough and is leaving her baby to scream to a point where it sounds like the baby has a squeaky toy in her throat. Only just got woke up by the midwife for bloods and now the baby has drifted off... oh no I spoke to soon and the Mam is just like oh ffs not again. She can’t lean over to pick baby up and a midwife has came in and said do you want me to pass you baby as she won’t settle on her own and she just said I’m tired, in pain and I’ve had enough she will settle

I can understand she probably emotionally and physically drained but she cant just leave her crying! Midwives need to intervene! Congrats on your lovely little one! I love her name x

Wtf... I was drained...I didnt sleep for like 5 days...and I still didnt refuse to pick up Maya... She needs to get a grip! Shes probably going to be in pain and tired for a long time...😐😐😐😓😓😓 Im with you feel like picking up the baby myself. On my ward a few women did just that..left the babies to cry and cry and cry...even when their partners were there..same thing...Just pisses me off...why have a baby if you arent prepared to deal with them xx

Leaving a newborn baby to cry over and over is horrible! Tired or not, they are your responsibility! I would feel like doing the same by picking baby up! Xx @tremzini Congratulations on your baby girl! She is beautiful xx Love her hair 😍💕 Xx

@louise.leitchman, I don’t think anyone is deliberately judging I just think that she was offered help but she refused. She’s been through a c section so nobody blames her for being really tired. I’ve spoke to her this morning and she was saying how terrible she feels that she can’t dress, change or feed her baby as she’s in that much pain. My issue was that she was choosing to leave the baby cry that much that it was making the babies throat sound awful xx

@louise.leitchman Yeah i had PND/Depression and didnt bond with my daughter for 7 months. Still wasnt going to choose to let her cry. If she was offered help...why didnt she take it?
