My little girl does this when she has a cold i put something under her mattress up the head end to bring her up a bit it helps with her maybe worth a shot with your little girl if you haven't tried it already :)

She has two pillows and is propped up but, I've gave her some calcough medicine too and now she's settled xx

I saw a post on Facebook about putting vick vapour rub on the soles of their feet and putting socks on will stop then coughing. Ive tried it and it really does work! Nothing worse than when they are coughing and waking thenselves up.

I might give that a try tonight z
