This is my third pregnancy and I get bad cramps first trimester every time. I think madukes is right that they should be like your cycle is about to start but for me that means moderate pain. Gas and diareah are also pretty common in the first trimester, so if it's a combination of growing pains and intestinal pain it can feel a lot worse. Still if she's worried she should just go see her doctor. Always better to make sure.

Yes ma’am cramps are normal because the uterus is expending. The cramps shouldnt be extreme though. They should be like her cycle is about to start. If they are unbearable thats an issue. If she sees blood then she should call the doctor or go to the er.
