@brooklynnsmama they can put a restraining order on him so he has to stay 100 yards away from you at all times and can't speak to you or touch you. That way if he puts his hands on you again he will go to jail. Any time anyone threatens you, you have the right to call the police and fill out a report about the incident. If you don't then you are allowing him to cross a line that very easily can lead to greater harm.
