QUESTION: 33 week baby born at 10lbs. The mom isn't overweight. No gestational diabetes. No hint of having a large baby. Does this seem fishy? Or am I just overthinking it? The baby is in the NICU because of it being required if they are born 35 weeks or later. Literally did no other reason. Completely and fully healthy.

That’s a really big baby at 33 weeks. Is it possible they had her due date off? Maybe she conceived earlier than they thought. I really don’t know.

@scarapella1, right???? It seems super fishy to me. Like, the ears always form around the same week of gestation...the arms form at the same time...the legs... I just don't see them getting the due date wrong by 7 full weeks. Two. Maybe three. But not seven.

@jennatess, yes, it definitely seems weird! I mean if she went to 40 weeks he wound have been like 15 pounds or more! I would think the doctors would think something was off when she had an ultrasound or when she was measured.

Right? I had my daughter at one day shy of 42 weeks and she was 9.6. Which is normal. I can't imagine if her due date was correct and she still gave birth to a 10 pounder at 38/39 weeks 😱
