My SO works a fairly easy and laid back job, and has time to go to the gym, play golf, hunt, pretty much do whatever he wants all the time. I wake up at 5 am everyday except on weekends and get ready for school, get jax ready, then drop him off at daycare, go to school for nearly 4-5 hours, rush to get something to eat before work, change clothes in the car, work chasing 2 year olds for 4-6 hours (making less than 90$ a week which doesn't even pay for my gas), get my son who is usually fussy and ready to eat. Get to my house and cook as fast as I can (while starving myself) then bathe and dress my toddler, pack all of our shit for the next day and go stay at my SO's 4/7 nights of the week. Get here and he's no help other than hugging jax and being sweet. He doesn't change diapers, he doesn't give baths, he doesn't put him to sleep, etc. oh, and then he's gotta watch football 24/7. So while I'm trying desperately to get some things for school done, he could be watching my son for me, but ya know, football is clearly more important. Its not like he doesn't hear me struggling. I am pissed, and I am over this. I will not continue to put up with this shit.

Hey girl, I know it’s super frustrating, but, is this his first child? I only ask bc at one point I was kind of there... my now husband wasn’t sure at the time (when my oldest was about 1), if he was ready to be a stepdad. It’s a tough thing for guys. I mean, they know what they are getting themselves into when they date us, but actually taking on the responsibility can be overwhelming at times. Now, with all that said, he should be more attentive, however it is a good sign with him loving on your son. Sometimes as women we expect men to read our minds (its super frustrating when they can’t lol), but maybe ask him for help. Ask him to change a diaper, give a bath or help out some. I’m sure he will be responsive, y’all are a team, especially with your new little one on the way. I only say this because I often times find myself doing everything and not asking for help. When I snap and ask my husband why he “doesn’t help”, he always tells me that I never let him.... TRUE TRUE 😂😂😂 keep your head up, your Supermama!
