Anyone had a child that was tongue tied

Yes my son was when he was born. They clipped it at 3 months old

My daughter had a tongue tie. She had surgery at 8 weeks

Both my boys were... I just asked the dr to clip them when they took them back for circumcisions.

@amouryaya09, @beebaby, @elenalee, how was the procedure my daughter is one month old and goes to get hers done on Monday. The doctors didn’t even catch it I kept looking in her mouth and noticed her tongue looked weird. I’m terrified about the procedure. Can anyone enlighten me please and try to ease my nerves please

@ndharlen, my babies were so young all they had to do was numb the area and then it’s just a little clip of very thin skin. My dr told me he didn’t even cry. And he was able to nurse right away and didn’t seem bothered at all.

Depends on what type you have. Some as simple snips. My daughters was not. Do you know what kind she has?

@beebaby, she had it done this past Monday and the doctor burned hers instead of clipping it so that it wouldn’t heal back together

So it was simple then. mine was more complicated
