This is so strange to me lol this doesn’t take place till 2019 that in New York State it will be required for a child under 2 to be rear facing in a car seat unless your child basically is tall and outgrows it going to a forward facing one . My son will be 2 in January and we have him forward facing now and looking at a new seat because he’s tall and met the “requirements” his seat has been adjusted to try to make it work longer but he’s starting to hate car rides because he has no more room and can’t sit comfortably .

That's been the law here for a while. About a year or two. Its supposed to be safest. So I would do it anyways even tho the law won't pass until it doesnt apply anymore

It’s been the law here too for a while. It sucks because his feet are already up against the seat, but he’s way too young to be forward.
