Thinking of breastfeeding my baby this time my other were bottle fed how can u get Breast pump

Breast pumps are awesome but you DONT NEED one to breastfeed. That's why breastfeeding is so awesome.

Do you have insurance? I tried to get it set up before hand but it was much too hard. While I was in the hospital having my daughter they provided a pump and they did all the insurance navigation to get me one for free. Some people will say you don't need a pump but my daughter had latching issues and I really need that pump. I never would have gotten a supply without it!

If you have insurance ask your ob about getting a pump, might have to wait until you are farther along, mine waited until like 28 weeks or so, wrote the prescription and had a nurse send it in to the company, they xalled me gave me a few choices and then it arrived in the mail. Might want to make a note of the company you confirm the order with though. The nurses at my drs office faced the request to 3 different companies and I didn't note the first one I talked to ended up recieving two pumps and had a hell of a time sending the second one back so my insurance wouldn't get charged for two.

@5babies you can call them and check to see. Most insurance provide a pump but need a Dr's note. The lactation consultant at our hospital did all of it for me and she brought the pump right to my room before I left! It was super easy!

You get one from wic if your going back to work or borrow one. Other wise you can get a script from your Ob and call your insurance
