My son is 15 months old and for the past couple weeks he's been waking up in the middle of the night screaming and unconsolable. I'm aware that his molars are coming in, but had anyone else dealt with this? I feel so bad for him.
Monica·
Yes. We've dealt with that since 7 or 8 months. The doctor said they were night terrors. Lasts for a few days or weeks, then we have stretches of peaceful sleep.

@nomli I've read that's what it could be. I know it's been wearing me down. Sometimes he'll be up for hours after he gets up.
Monica·
Mmhmm. It sucks, especially since there's nothing you can do about it. Some times he doesn't even know we're in the room or have picked him up. It's just so heartbreaking. More than once we've wound up on the couch at 2am, watching a movie, until he calms down enough for me to put him back to bed. Sometimes we've even brought him into our bed if nothing else works (we never coslept).

@nomli We cosleep and I still breastfeed. When nursing didn't help there's definitely something wrong haha!
Monica·
Oh yeah. Awww. Poor baby. Maybe a different room, like cuddling on the couch, may help calm him?
I've noticed his night terrors seem a bit better with no lights in his room. It may just be coincidence though.

@nomli yeah I always have to take him downstairs and turn on the TV before he'll calm down

@trent_tyhler_mom24 that's crazy. Did you leave the TV on or anything?

I have a tablet and I would let him watch tv on it till he fell asleep and went back in there and turned it off and my dogs would cuddle with him
