At what age can a kid take a cough drop? Literally asking for a friend.

I gave them to my daughter when she was 3

It says 6 on the packages.

I have no clue, but I'm super paranoid about giving my kids any type of meds. So I always follow the rules. Maybe call the child's pedi and ask?
