I had a doctor bill and they kept calling me when I had my son.. I’m like look I’m on maternity leave I’m not working I don’t have a way to pay you. They sent me to collections and time tools around to me getting summoned ! I feel like I have such bad luck because I’ve never known anyone to have to do this

Girl omg I went thru the same thing I was 17 at the time & they garnished 25% of my mothers check since I was underage. It was horrible. Thy make you pay even for there court fees and everything. Wish you luck.

@jaidensmommy, wooowwwwwwwww!!!! Just tell them what you have... they will put you on a payment plan. Tell them you have $0 for today, but you can work it out.... let them know what you make and that it is used to out your son in daycare. Even if you do $5/month, at least your paying

They usually ask you what you can afford to pay. Tell them $50.

@purpledpink, I called the lawyers office when I got the papers and they told me the minimum I could pay was $56

@believeinbuddha, it’s sad because I don’t even have that 😩 the first fee on the payment plan is $100 and after that then I would have to pay $56 the first of each month for 18mnths..

I'd take receipt and things to prove you can pay that much. Is that a month or every paycheck?
